Bradenton Motorcyclist Critical After Clearwater Crash; Investigation Ongoing

CLEARWATER, Fla. – A 40-year-old Bradenton man remains in critical condition this morning following a serious traffic crash late Thursday night at the intersection of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Saturn Avenue in Clearwater.

The collision occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. when an eastbound van, driven by a 21-year-old man from Clearwater, made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle, according to initial reports from Clearwater Police.

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the scene. The motorcyclist was subsequently transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with injuries described by authorities as potentially life-threatening.

Following the crash, the westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard were closed for several hours as investigators processed the scene. It is unclear at this time if the lanes have since fully reopened.

Clearwater Police confirmed this morning that the motorcyclist’s condition remains critical.
