BRANDON, Fla. – Motorists traveling in the Brandon area should prepare for overnight closures of the eastbound SR 618 (Selmon Expressway) ramp leading to northbound I-75 this weekend and early next week.
The ramp will be temporarily closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Sunday, May 11, and continuing through Tuesday, May 13, weather permitting.
During the closure, drivers needing to access northbound I-75 from the eastbound Selmon Expressway will be directed along a detour route. The recommended detour involves exiting the Selmon Expressway at Exit 14, turning left onto Falkenburg Road, then turning right onto SR 60, and proceeding to the northbound I-75 entrance ramp.

Electronic message boards and directional signage will be placed to guide motorists through the area and along the detour route.
These temporary ramp closures are necessary as part of ongoing concrete pavement repairs taking place on I-75 from Progress Boulevard to Woodberry Road in Hillsborough County.
Drivers are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone, be alert for construction workers, and allow for extra travel time due to the detour.
