A bride and her wedding guest were stopped by Port St. Lucie Police for allegedly speeding on the way to her wedding.
Police stopped the two on April 11 for allegedly driving at 105 mph.
“Their reasoning…she was late to her own wedding!” police said on Facebook.
Officials said the wedding was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in Stuart, and body cam footage shows the pair was stopped at 2:42 in Port St. Lucie, nearly 30 minutes away from their destination.

“You’re already late,” the officer told the bride.
“We’re trying to get there,” she responded.
“I’ll let you take her, but I’m gonna give you a court date, it’s a mandatory court appearance,” the cop told the driver.
“This stop gives a whole new meaning to racing to the altar…not exactly the best way to start your wedding,” the police department quipped.
