Citrus County Man Indicted For First-Degree Murder Of Father-In-Law

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A Citrus County man, 43-year-old David Nemyier, has been formally charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father-in-law, 67-year-old Kyle Pazain. The indictment was announced today by State Attorney Bill Gladson following a grand jury review of the case.

The grand jury concluded that sufficient evidence exists to charge Nemyier with the premeditated murder of Pazain.

According to the indictment, Nemyier shot and killed Pazain on April 9, 2025.

The investigation revealed that on Friday, April 11, 2025, shortly before 11 a.m., the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting a deceased male at a residence on Cherrywood Court in Crystal River. Upon arrival, deputies identified the deceased as Kyle Pazain.

David Nemyier was subsequently arrested and charged with murder on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He remains in custody at a local detention facility with no bond.
