A domestic disturbance at The District Apartments led to a SWAT team activation overnight and the arrest of a Clearwater man on multiple charges, including domestic battery, false imprisonment, and child abuse.
Joshua Williams, 39, was taken into custody early this morning after surrendering peacefully to authorities. The Clearwater Police SWAT Team was activated late last night in response to an armed subject at the apartment complex, located at 3021 State Road 590.

Police initially responded to the scene following a domestic battery call. While details of the incident leading to the standoff have not yet been fully released, authorities confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained during the incident.
Williams faces one count of misdemeanor Domestic Battery, two counts of False Imprisonment, and two counts of Child Abuse. He is currently being held in custody, and further information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
