CLEARWATER, Fla. – Motorists who regularly use the northbound US 19 exit ramp to Sunset Point Road will need to plan alternate routes for the next few nights.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced that the ramp will be closed nightly starting tonight, Wednesday, April 30th, and continuing through Thursday, May 1st, and again on Sunday, May 4th. The closures will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
These temporary closures are necessary to facilitate ongoing work as part of the US 19 repaving project that spans from Drew Street to Sunset Point Road in Pinellas County. The entire construction project is anticipated to be completed in late 2025.
