POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Davenport man, 47-year-old Lopeze Vubert, found himself in a familiar predicament on Monday afternoon, June 2nd, when he was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a suspended license.
This marks his second significant traffic-related arrest in less than two months.
Vubert’s troubles began on the night of April 15th, when he was stopped and arrested for DUI on the Polk Parkway near Lakeland. As a result of that incident, his driver’s license was suspended.

Fast forward to Monday, just after noon. A Polk County deputy pulled over Vubert’s vehicle on I-4 near Polk City.
Investigators say Vubert reportedly volunteered that his license was suspended due to his recent DUI arrest, for which he was currently out on bond. He explained to the deputy that he was en route home from a meeting with his attorney in Bartow.
