POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 39-year-old Davenport man, Trenton Jovon Wright, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office early Wednesday morning, May 28th, following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of a suspended license and an outstanding warrant.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy pulled over Wright’s silver Nissan sedan at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Ronald Reagan Parkway in the Davenport area due to multiple traffic infractions.

During the stop, Wright allegedly attempted to mislead the deputy by providing a false identity. However, the deputy quickly uncovered Wright’s true name and discovered that his driver’s license had been suspended in 2023. Furthermore, a records check revealed an active warrant for grand theft out of Broward County.

Authorities reported that Wright then began to walk away from the traffic stop, but the deputy promptly placed him under arrest.
