Launched in 2024, the “Road to Your Future” initiative is a statewide effort by FDOT to recruit talent into Florida’s growing transportation sector. These hiring events are strategically held across the state to cultivate a robust workforce essential for maintaining a safe and efficient transportation system. This initiative is bolstered by strong support from Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature, who are committed to enhancing Florida’s transportation infrastructure.
The event highlights the impact of the Statewide Workforce Development Program, established by FDOT in late 2019. This program provides pathways for both experienced and entry-level individuals from all fields to build successful careers in the transportation industry, regardless of their prior skill sets or experience levels.
Transportation jobs in Florida offer competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits, contributing to the well-being and financial security of employees. The sector is also at the forefront of technological advancement and innovation, offering employees opportunities to participate in initiatives that will shape the future of infrastructure.
