A Florida man has been indicted on charges of threatening to kill the President of the United States, according to an announcement by United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
The indictment, unsealed Tuesday, alleges that Sheldon James Biddle, 25, of Ormond Beach, made the threats in a series of online postings.
If convicted, Biddle faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.

According to the indictment, on April 2, 2025, Biddle allegedly posted threats to take the life of the President from an online account linked to him.
Specifically, the postings indicated that the President “was going to get assassinated for engaging in treason,” a statement deemed a “true threat of violence,” according to authorities.

This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the United States Secret Service, the Ormond Beach Police Department, and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Rachel Lasry will prosecute the case.
