A Florida teen has been arrested in connection with the May 14 after-school stabbing of another student in Deltona. The 15-year-old’s mother has also been taken into custody for allegedly providing false information to investigators.
Aiden White, 15, was arrested and charged in the May 14 attack that left a fellow student with multiple stab wounds. His mother, Kayla Cobb, 33, faces charges for lying to detectives during the investigation.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, cell phone data and other crucial evidence linked Aiden White to the assault. Detectives stated that Kayla Cobb provided a false alibi for her son, which was later disproven.

This latest arrest follows the earlier apprehension of 13-year-old Haiden Beauvais on May 15, who was charged with principal to aggravated battery. Investigators allege that Beauvais was the orchestrator behind the attack.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, May 14, at approximately 3:39 p.m. in the area of Courtland Boulevard and Hanford Drive, involved a 15-year-old male victim who was reportedly “jumped” by multiple individuals.
A deputy in the vicinity responded to the scene within two minutes of the Live 911 call, providing immediate aid to the victim by applying a bandage to control bleeding.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he received staples and stitches for his injuries. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim knew one or more of his assailants, and the attack stemmed from a prior dispute.
Detectives continue to investigate the full scope of the incident.
