LAKELAND, Fla. – A 44-year-old Lakeland man, sought by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for several weeks, was taken into custody on Friday. Westlee Austin Davis was arrested at a residence on Coronet Road without incident after deputies received a tip regarding his whereabouts.
Davis had an outstanding warrant for Felony Battery and Resisting without Violence.
Authorities had been actively searching for Davis for an extended period. The break in the search came on Friday when the Sheriff’s Office received information placing Davis at the Coronet Road address.

Responding quickly to the tip, multiple deputies, supported by a K9 unit, converged on the residence and surrounded the property. Davis was then apprehended without any reported issues.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Westlee Austin Davis has a history of prior arrests, including charges for robbery, assault, battery, resisting, and criminal traffic offenses.
