TAMPA, Fla. – Fresh off his Hart Trophy win as NHL MVP, Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, alongside Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov, the recipient of the Ted Lindsay Award, lead the distinguished list of players voted to the 2024-25 NHL First All-Star Team. Both stars received near-unanimous support from voters, cementing their status as the league’s top performers.
Hellebuyck’s selection marks his third career appearance on the First Team, the most among active goaltenders.
Kucherov, meanwhile, earns his fourth career First Team nod at right wing, a leading figure for the position among active skaters. Both players were overwhelmingly favored, securing first-place votes from 187 of the 190 participating voters.

The offensive firepower of the First Team is further bolstered by two standout members of the Colorado Avalanche: defenseman Cale Makar and center Nathan MacKinnon. Makar makes his third career First Team appearance, while MacKinnon earns his second. Rounding out the elite squad are two players celebrating their inaugural postseason All-Star Team selections: dynamic left wing Kyle Connor of the Winnipeg Jets and standout defenseman Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Connor received 127 first-place votes, and Werenski garnered 136, highlighting their breakout recognition.
The Tampa Bay Lightning proved a significant presence on the Second All-Star Team, with three of the six spots filled by their star players. Veteran defenseman Victor Hedman earns his sixth career Second Team selection, a remarkable feat that ties him with Ray Bourque and Earl Seibert for the most ever among defensemen. Joining Hedman are goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy and left wing Brandon Hagel, both making their debut appearances on a Second Team.

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes rounds out the Second Team, making his debut.
