HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Spring Hill man has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison followed by 10 years of sexual offender probation after pleading guilty to multiple charges related to child sex abuse material.
Mark Anthony Mazur, 34, entered a guilty plea last week to sixteen counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Unlawful Use of a Two-way Communications Device. Circuit Judge Stephen E. Toner handed down the sentence.
The investigation into Mazur began after the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on December 23, 2024. The tip indicated that an account registered to Mazur contained illicit material involving minor children.

Acting on this information, HCSO detectives executed a search warrant at Mazur’s residence on the same day. During the search, Mazur confirmed he resided at the home and owned the social media account in question. He admitted to being aware of the child sexual abuse material content on his account and stated he used his cell phone to access and save the illicit material.
A forensic examination of Mazur’s cell phone subsequently uncovered additional videos of child sexual abuse material, leading to his immediate arrest.
