Hillsborough County Career Fair Connects Job Seekers With Public Service Opportunities

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is gearing up for its 3rd-Annual All Government Career Fair, offering a unique opportunity for job seekers to explore diverse career paths within the public sector.

Organized in conjunction with local government partners by the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller, the event is set to take place tomorrow, Friday, June 13, at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square in downtown Tampa.

Nearly 20 government agencies are scheduled to participate in this year’s fair, which runs from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Job seekers are encouraged to arrive prepared with resumes to connect directly with recruiters from a wide array of public entities across Hillsborough County.

The career fair aims to bridge the gap between job openings in the public sector and eager candidates, highlighting the numerous benefits that come with working for local government. “It’s no secret that there are job openings in many areas, public and private, across the region,” stated a representative from the Clerk’s office. “This is an opportunity for many different entities in the public sector to come together in one convenient location to showcase the varied career opportunities that are available for job seekers.”

Adding to the event’s significance, Clerk Victor Crist and Public Defender Lisa McLean will address participants at 10:00 AM, just an hour into the fair. They are expected to speak about the diverse career opportunities available within government and underscore the profound benefits of contributing to community betterment through public service.

Attendees will have the chance to engage with representatives from key government agencies, including the City of Plant City, City of Tampa, City of Temple Terrace, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), State Attorney’s Office (including the Victim’s Assistance Program), Public Defender’s Office, Supervisor of Elections Office, 13th Judicial Circuit/Administrative Office of the Courts, Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s Office, Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller, Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office, Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, Hillsborough County Public Schools, HART, Port Tampa Bay, and the Tampa Police Department.

The 3rd-Annual All Government Career Fair promises to be a vital event for those looking to embark on a fulfilling career in public service within Hillsborough County.
