Hillsborough County Traffic Alert: Lane Closures For June 8-14 – Drivers Urged To Plan Ahead

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has released its summary of scheduled lane closures for the week of Saturday, June 8, through Friday, June 14, 2025. Motorists in Hillsborough County should anticipate significant impacts to traffic flow on major interstates and arterial roads, with both nighttime and daytime closures planned for various construction and maintenance projects.

Drivers are strongly advised to plan their commutes accordingly, allow for extra travel time, and consider alternative routes to avoid potential delays.

Interstate Closures:

  • I-4 from County Line Road to McIntosh Road: Expect nightly lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • I-75 from Progress Boulevard to Woodberry Road: Nightly lane closures are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Friday, June 13.
  • I-75 Interchange at SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard): Nightly lane closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Friday, June 13.
  • I-75 Southbound from Fowler Avenue to SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard): Southbound lanes will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13. This closure is part of an ongoing project expected to continue through July 3.
  • I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge) between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties: Nightly lane closures are planned from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Saturday, June 14.
  • I-275 Southbound Entrance Ramp from George J. Bean Parkway and Memorial Highway: This ramp will experience nightly lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Saturday, June 14.

U.S. and State Road Closures:

  • US 41B (Highland Avenue) from Violet Street to SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard): Southbound lane closures will begin at 10 a.m. and continue overnight until 7 a.m., Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13.
  • US 41 (Florida Avenue/Tampa Street) from Kennedy Boulevard to Bearss Avenue: Daytime lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, June 9, to Saturday, June 14.
  • US 92 (Hillsborough Avenue) from SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) to I-4: Daytime lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, June 9, through Saturday, June 14.
  • US 301 at Ayersworth Glen Boulevard: Daytime lane closures will occur from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13.
  • US 301 North of Rhodine Road: A northbound lane closure will be ongoing 24 hours per day through Friday, June 13.
  • SR 60 (Memorial Highway) from George J. Bean Parkway to SR 589 (Veterans Expressway): Westbound nightly lane closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) from Dale Mabry Highway to I-4: Daytime lane closures are expected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, June 9, through Saturday, June 14.
  • SR 582 (Fowler Avenue) from 51st Street to Riverhills Drive: Nightly lane closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.

FDOT reminds all drivers to obey posted speed limits, be aware of construction personnel and equipment, and exercise caution when traveling through work zones.
