OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Interstate 4 (I-4) is experiencing significant disruptions near Champions Gate in Osceola County following a hazardous materials crash involving fertilizer. While eastbound lanes on I-4 have now reopened, the westbound lanes at Mile Marker 59 remain closed.
The initial incident, which occurred earlier today, prompted a full closure of the interstate in both directions. Emergency crews have successfully cleared the eastbound lanes, allowing traffic to resume. However, the cleanup and investigation of the hazardous material spill are continuing in the westbound lanes.
Westbound Detour (No Change): All westbound I-4 traffic continues to be diverted off at Exit 62 to World Drive. Drivers wishing to continue westbound on I-4 should then take U.S. 192 westbound, followed by U.S. 27 southbound, before rejoining I-4 westbound.
