LAKE WALES, Fla. – Lake Wales woman is back in custody after allegedly violating the conditions of her pre-trial release and attempting to evade deputies who arrived to serve a warrant, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). Denise Marie Lansdon, 48, was arrested on Thursday, May 22nd, at her residence.

The events leading to Lansdon’s latest arrest began on March 7th, when PCSO deputies responded to a physical disturbance call in Lake Wales. According to the arrest affidavit from that incident, Lansdon was involved in an altercation with an acquaintance.

The situation reportedly escalated from a verbal argument to a physical assault, during which Lansdon allegedly pushed the victim, pulled their hair, and delivered punches to the head. It is also alleged that Lansdon made death threats and forcibly removed four necklaces from the victim’s neck.

When deputies arrived on the scene on March 7th, Lansdon reportedly resisted arrest and fought with them.

She was subsequently charged with a litany of offenses, including robbery, false imprisonment, battery on a law enforcement officer, two counts of resisting an officer without violence, and two counts of resisting an officer with violence.

Following this arrest, Lansdon was granted pre-trial release with specific conditions she was required to follow. However, authorities state that Lansdon failed to adhere to these terms.

She allegedly missed her mandatory call-ins with her pre-trial release officer for three consecutive weeks. When the officer eventually made contact, Lansdon reportedly responded with profanity.

Due to these violations, Lansdon’s pre-trial release was revoked, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On Thursday, May 22nd, PCSO deputies located Lansdon at her residence.

She was reportedly grilling on her porch when she spotted the approaching deputy and ran inside the house.

Despite the deputy’s commands to stop, Lansdon allegedly did not comply. Deputies then entered the residence and took her into custody on the outstanding warrant.

In addition to the warrant, Lansdon now faces an additional charge of resisting an officer without violence for her alleged actions on May 22nd. She was transported to the Polk County Jail.
