LAKELAND, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred in a neighborhood on Longfellow Boulevard in Lakeland early Friday morning.

According to deputies, one male suspect was initially thwarted in his attempts to enter four vehicles at a single residence around 5:53 am on April 25th, as all were reportedly locked.

However, authorities say the suspect was not entirely unsuccessful, as other vehicles in the vicinity that were left unlocked were subsequently entered and burglarized. The Sheriff’s Office did not specify the number of additional vehicles involved or the items stolen.
