Land O’ Lakes Man Killed In Fiery Crash As Tesla Slams Into Pole, Tree

LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – A 21-year-old Land O’ Lakes man was killed early this morning after the Tesla Model 3 he was driving crashed and caught fire on US-41. The tragic single-vehicle accident occurred just north of Goodman Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Tesla Model 3 was traveling southbound on US-41 at approximately 3:20 AM when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle departed the pavement, striking a utility pole before colliding with a tree.

Following the impacts, the Tesla came to a stop and became engulfed in flames.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
