RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A multi-unit effort by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) led to the arrest of a suspect who attempted to evade deputies by fleeing a traffic stop, ditching a vehicle, and hiding in a wooded area on Saturday evening.
The incident began on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 6:41 p.m., when a vehicle fled from a traffic stop near Eagle Palm Drive and Pelican Creek Circle.
HCSO Street Crimes Units quickly apprehended two of the vehicle’s three occupants. However, the third suspect, identified as 50-year-old Allen English, of Largo, fled on foot into a nearby wooded area in an apparent attempt to evade arrest.
