TAMPA, Fla. – Morgan Exteriors, among the most respected home improvement companies in Florida, has announced it will extend major hurricane window and door discounts to help the numerous counties they serve. The peak period for hurricanes begins in September, so it’s critical to begin planning window and door upgrades now.

Various hurricane season reports agree that one to two major hurricanes – Categories 3 to 5 – could make landfall in Florida this year. If warmer water temperatures prevail, these hurricanes will be intense.

This year’s overall hurricane season is rated above average with a projection of four of the nine hurricanes expected to be major.

Joseph Shumaker, Morgan Exteriors’ Vice President of Marketing, said, “Single-pane and even non-impact double-pane windows cannot sustain impacts from high winds and debris. This means that homeowners with original windows and doors from the early 2000s and prior should consider upgrades, as these older materials don’t meet today’s performance standards and often aren’t sufficient for storm protection. But there’s still some time left to get windows and doors for this year’s threats.”

Shumaker continued, “To help homeowners right now, we’re offering 30 percent off on all high-impact windows and doors. Our consultations are free, and we’re also offering flexible financing – no money down and no payments for two years – to further help our communities.”

Morgan Exteriors has launched a rewarding referral program this year. Shumaker explained, “Homeowners who complete a project with us can earn $1,000 for each referral that also completes a project. We also pay $100 for each referral appointment.”

Windows and doors are one of the greatest determining factors of whether a roof will be destroyed. Windows partially impacted or blown out by debris and high winds cause pressure to increase in the home to the point that it can blow off a roof.

Shumaker said that if a 15-year-old can throw a ball and break your windows, you have no weather protection and no security protection from intruders.

He also described the latest window they carry, which is a triple-pane, high protection and high-security window. They’re the most powerful wind and debris protection available in Florida.

“Our Simonton triple-pane windows are manufactured to meet Miami-Dade’s High Velocity Hurricane Zone protection standard of 180 miles per hour.  A map we use from www.myfloridacfo.com shows that the basic wind speed for our counties of service ranges from 130 to 160 miles per hour, based on past events.  If your area experiences wind speeds that exceed its normal range, these windows will still protect your home. Our Simonton windows are certified to meet the American Architectural Manufacturers Association’s standards for High Velocity Hurricane Zones. They are also fully compliant with the Florida Building Association’s standards, as well.”

Morgan Exteriors’ office locations include Tampa, Lutz, Orlando, and Fort Myers. Counties served include those of the Tampa Bay region, north from Citrus County to south in Collier County on the Gulf Coast, north from Flagler County to south in Indian River County on the East Coast, Polk County, Orlando’s Orange County, and counties nearby.

Morgan Exteriors replaces the manufacturer’s warranty with its own superior promise:

The Morgan Guarantee. This exclusive coverage gives homeowners stronger protection, fewer headaches, and one trusted point of contact.

Shumaker explained, “We go above and beyond the manufacturer’s warranty and provide a guarantee on all products and parts. We don’t ask you to chase down a manufacturer; we take full responsibility should anything go wrong. Our guarantee is fully transferable to any future homeowners for the entire life of the windows, with no restrictions or limitations.”

Shumaker said that besides helping to protect homes from major storm damage, the latest windows can add to a home’s selling price and significantly save on energy bills, according to their customers. The company also provides remodeling for kitchens, baths, and siding.

Morgan Exteriors is a veteran-owned family business with a website that provides more details and an opportunity to schedule a free consultation.
