LAKE WALES, Fla. – A Lake Wales man is facing charges after residents reported a recurring issue of a nude individual walking in public. Larry Andrew Eley, 59, was arrested Saturday after admitting to deputies he had been outside in the nude on multiple occasions this week.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies were dispatched to the area of Pine Hill Court and Lake Buffum Road around 12:05 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, following a report of a naked man.
A resident told authorities they had seen the man completely nude and “doing stuff” outside, and that this wasn’t an isolated incident.
When deputies arrived, they made contact with Eley, who was fully clothed.
Eley admitted to deputies that he had been walking around nude outside earlier in the week, stating he did so because he was hot. He also confessed to being nude outside on Saturday for the same reason. While he denied “doing stuff” while nude, officials noted his statements were conflicting.
Eley was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of Unlawful Exposure of Sexual Organ.
