The devastating shooting incident at Nashville’s Covenant School earlier this year left six victims dead, shaking the local community to its core. In the aftermath, a manifesto allegedly written by the accused shooter, Audrey Hale, came to light.
Conservative social media personality Steven Crowder teased the release of this document, sparking widespread interest and controversy.
In March, Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old transgender person who had once attended the Covenant School, carried out a horrific attack, fatally shooting three children and three adults before dying at the scene from gunshot wounds.
The incident shocked the nation and prompted authorities to investigate Hale’s motives and potential premeditation.
Steven Crowder, a well-known conservative commentator, claimed to have obtained a leaked manifesto believed to be written by Audrey Hale. In a video posted on YouTube, Crowder shared screenshots of portions of the document, providing a glimpse into its disturbing contents.
However, it’s important to note that the authenticity of this manifesto has not been independently verified.
Metro Nashville Police Department officials say they are aware of the tweets and are receiving phone calls about them but would not confirm their legitimacy.
David Raybin, attorney for Covenant School shooter Audrey Hale’s parents, told WSMV he could not confirm the legitimacy of the writings.
“We have never seen a manifesto at any time. We’re not in a position to authenticate these pieces of paper. We have absolutely not released anything, but we certainly did not release this,” Raybin said. “It’s inappropriate for me to make any further comment about it.”
