New Port Richey Man Killed In Fiery I-75 Crash

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 46-year-old man from New Port Richey died Sunday evening after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 south of Overpass Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say that at around 7:20 pm, the man was driving a Kia Soul northbound on I-75 when he lost control of the vehicle while allegedly weaving in and out of traffic.

The Kia Soul veered onto the outside shoulder of the highway, where it collided with a light pole. Following the impact, the vehicle caught fire.

The driver sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
