SUMTER COUNTY, FL – A single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer disrupted northbound traffic on Interstate 75 near Milepost 321 on Tuesday at around 2:40 pm.
The incident occurred when the commercial vehicle experienced a tire blowout, leading to a loss of control.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer operated by a 30-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, was traveling northbound on I-75. Near Milepost 321, the left front tire of the truck suddenly blew out.

The driver subsequently lost control of the vehicle, which then veered into the median. The tractor-trailer struck both the guardrail and a concrete median barrier before coming to a stop.
Emergency services responded to the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
