RUSKIN, Fla.- A 21-year-old man is in custody after allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in Ruskin early Tuesday morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

The incident unfolded on Tuesday, at approximately 3:22 a.m. when HCSO deputies responded to a report of a possible kidnapping at a residence on the 1900 block of 33rd Street Southeast in Ruskin.

Investigators determined that Julian Jaramillo used a tracking device placed inside his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle to locate her at the residence. According to the HCSO, when the victim came out of the residence, Jaramillo forcibly stole her vehicle keys. He then allegedly forced her into the trunk of her own vehicle and drove away.
