PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County Fire Rescue (PCFR) is significantly enhancing its swift water rescue capabilities with the addition of two new inflatable rescue boats, motors, and essential accessories, thanks to a generous $30,000 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
This acquisition will allow PCFR to respond faster and more effectively to flood-related emergencies, a critical need highlighted by recent hurricane seasons.

“These new rescue boats are vital to our emergency response, which many of our communities relied on during last year’s unprecedented hurricane season in Pasco,” stated Fire Chief Ryan Guynn. “When floodwaters rise, every second counts. This equipment will help us reach flood victims quickly and safely, ultimately saving lives.”
The new additions represent a substantial expansion of PCFR’s swift-water rescue fleet.
In just two years, the department’s dedicated fleet has grown to include six inflatable rescue boats and two Jon boats. This strategic growth ensures that when severe flooding threatens Pasco County, the Special Operations team can deploy swiftly and safely assist residents in peril.
