PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is alerting motorists to a series of upcoming lane closures and a long-term detour affecting several major roadways in Pasco County. These operations are scheduled to begin as early as Tuesday, May 27, 2025, and are part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution, plan for potential delays, and seek alternate routes where possible.
US 19:
- Approaching and through the San Marco Drive/Johnson Road intersection: Lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
- Between Elizabeth Avenue and Edna Avenue: Lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

US 98:
- Between CR 54 and Janmar Road: Periodic lane closures and flagging operations Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
- Dade City Bypass (River Road to Meridian Avenue): Southbound lanes will be closed and detoured to 7th Street 24 hours per day, through approximately October 2025. Motorists should anticipate significant delays and utilize the designated detour.
US 41 (Land O’ Lakes Blvd):
- Approaching and through the SR 54 intersection: Nightly lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
SR 54:
- East of Little Road to Marathon Road: Day lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Saturday, May 31, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, nightly lane closures will be in effect Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- West of Virginia City Drive to Old Mill Pond Drive: Lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- US 41 to east of Knight Road: Nightly lane closures Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29, from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

CR 52:
- In the roundabout and from Lemon Street to Smith Road: Nightly lane closures and flagging operations Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- (Meridian Avenue) from 21st Street to US 98 Bypass/US 301: Nightly lane closures and flagging operations Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, May 29, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
FDOT reminds all drivers to obey posted speed limits, be aware of construction personnel and equipment, and allow extra travel time, especially for the long-term US 98 Dade City Bypass closure.
