PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists in Pasco County should prepare for a series of lane closures and traffic pattern changes beginning next week, as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and county crews undertake multiple road improvement projects. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, allow for extra travel time, and consider alternate routes.
The most significant long-term impact is already underway on US 98 (Dade City Bypass), where southbound lanes from River Road to Meridian Avenue are closed.
This closure, which includes a detour to 7th Street, is in effect 24 hours a day and is expected to continue through approximately October 2025.
