PORT RICHEY, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who stole a baby alligator from Congo River Golf located in the 10500 block of US 19 in Port Richey earlier this week.

The incident occurred on Sunday, May 19, at approximately 3:50 a.m.

According to PSO, a man entered the business premises and used a device to capture a baby alligator. The suspect then wrapped the reptile in a white cloth before fleeing the scene on a blue bicycle.

The suspect is described as a white male, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, with a beard and mustache.

At the time of the theft, he was seen wearing a black hat, a blue and white plaid long-sleeved shirt, a black undershirt, black shorts, and black shoes.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding this case or who may know the identity of the suspect to come forward.
