Clementine Ford, a left-wing feminist activist, could not answer Piers Morgan’s question of what a woman is during Friday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
When asked to define the term “woman,” Ford reluctantly answered that a woman is somebody who has been afraid of a man at any point in their life. Morgan called Ford and other pro-transgender activists out for being unable to acknowledge the negative consequences women have faced as a result of men entering their spaces and competing against them in sports.
“I have a question for you, Clementine. It’s a very simple question,” Morgan said. “But I think it’ll be an interesting question to ask you. What is a woman?”
“Piers, I’m not going down the path of debating trans women with you. Trans women are women,” Ford said, leading Morgan to press her to answer the simple question. “Okay, I’ll tell you. But I know that this is your tactic, this is what you do. What is a woman? I’ll tell you what a woman is. A woman is someone who at least at some point in her life felt scared of a man.”
The panel immediately mocked Ford’s answer, along with “The Crucible” host Andrew Wilson stating that her response is “the stupidest thing” he had ever heard. Morgan then told Ford that she is in no position to “lecture women” on how they should behave when she cannot even give a simple definition of what a woman is.
“I come back to my question to you, your inability to say what a woman is, and yet here you are lecturing women on how they should behave as women is completely perverse,” Morgan said.
“I think that reducing women specifically to your biological deciding of what you think a woman is,” Ford began, with Morgan pointing out that being a man or a woman is biologically determined.

“It’s called science. It’s their chromosomes. You have different chromosomes to me. It’s not me saying that, I’m not writing the science,” Morgan said.
Ford accused the panelists of being “obsessed” with defining trans-identifying men, prompting Morgan to explain that people are being unfairly branded as bigots for daring to raise concerns about women’s safety in sports or in their private spaces. He further noted that allowing men to compete in women’s sports is both unfair and puts female athletes in danger.
Women athletes have suffered serious injuries as a result of trans-identifying men competing against them. Payton McNabb, a 19-year-old volleyball player, suffered from a brain bleed, a traumatic brain injury, partial paralysis and loss of peripheral vision on her right side after being hit in the head with a ball spiked by a male athlete in April 2023.
A six-foot male basketball player with facial hair injured several players in Lowell, Massachusetts, while footage shows one girl falling to the ground and clutching her back in pain as the male wrestled the ball away from her on the court, the Heritage Foundation reported.

Many of these athletes, who have worked their whole lives to achieve success in a given sport, have been defeated by male athletes who did not perform well in the men’s competitions. Male swimmer Lia Thomas, who ranked 544th in the men’s competition, became a top-ranked swimmer in the women’s competition at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Championships in March 2022.
The Supreme Court in Britain ruled in April that trans-identifying males are not legally regarded as women under the nation’s equality legislation. In the U.S., President Donald Trump signed an executive order in February to ban men from competing in women’s sports.
