LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – A 12-year-old student at Pine View Middle School was arrested for allegedly making written threats to kill, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) announced. The arrest was made on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Deputies have confirmed that there is currently no public safety threat to Pine View Middle School or its students and staff.

In a statement, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office once again urged parents and guardians to have serious conversations with their children about the severe consequences of making threats.

The PSO also emphasized the importance of reporting threats and rumors directly and immediately to law enforcement rather than sharing them, which can amplify fear and complicate investigations.

Details regarding the nature of the written threats or the identity of the student have not been released due to the student’s age.
