PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists across Pinellas County should prepare for significant traffic disruptions next week as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has announced a comprehensive schedule of lane closures for various roadways from Sunday, June 8, through Saturday, June 14, 2025.

These closures are necessary for ongoing construction, maintenance, and improvement projects designed to enhance safety and infrastructure.

Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly, allow for extra travel time, and exercise caution in work zones. The FDOT emphasizes that these closures are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions.

Here’s a detailed summary of the upcoming lane closures:

Interstate Highways:

  • I-175: From 16th Street S to 4th Street S, expect nightly lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Saturday, June 14.
  • I-275:
    • Southbound lanes from 54th Avenue S to 5th Avenue S will experience closures Sunday, June 8, through Friday, June 13, nights from 7:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Northbound lanes on the same stretch will have closures from 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the same period.
  • I-375: From I-275 to 4th Avenue N, lane closures are scheduled nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Friday, June 13.

Major Arterials:

  • ALT US 19 (Palm Harbor Boulevard): From Meres Boulevard to Tampa Road, expect lane closures with flagging operations nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • ALT US 19 (Pinellas Avenue): At Anclote Road/Coquina Drive, lane closures will be in effect Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • US 19:
    • From SR 580 (Main Street) to Tampa Road, nightly lane closures are set from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
    • US 19 (34th Street): From 54th Avenue S to 22nd Avenue N, day lane closures will occur Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Night lane closures on this segment are from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
    • From Drew Street to Sunset Point Road, nightly lane closures are expected from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • US 19 Frontage Road: From Drew Street to Sunset Point Road, nightly lane closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • Alt US 19 (5th Avenue N): From 6th Street N to Tyrone Boulevard, day lane closures will be in effect Monday, June 9, through Saturday, June 14, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Night closures for this section are from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
  • SR 60 (Gulf to Bay Boulevard): Eastbound lanes from S. Bayshore Boulevard to Dr Kiran C Patel Boulevard will experience 24-hour lane closures continuing through late 2025.
  • SR 595: From ALT US 19 to Bay Pines Blvd., a lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 8, through Saturday, June 14.
  • SR 679 (Pinellas Bayway): From Yacht Club Lane to 12th Street W, lane closures are planned Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • 9th Street South (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street): From 6th Avenue S to 7th Avenue S, nightly lane closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12.
