PLANT CITY, Fla. – The Plant City Police Department (PCPD) is actively investigating a homicide that happened on Wednesday night.
According to investigators, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Waller Street following reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located a 21-year-old adult male victim at a residence in the 2900 block of Forest Hammock Drive. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to Lakeland Regional Healthcare for treatment.

Police say he died from his injuries at the hospital.
“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family as they endure this unimaginable loss,” stated Chief Richard Mills. “We are doing everything in our power—working tirelessly and using every available resource—to uncover the truth and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.”
Detectives are urging residents in the Waller Street and Forest Hammock Drive areas to review their home security camera footage for any potential evidence that could aid in the ongoing investigation.
