TAMPA, Fla. – Authorities are searching for a male suspect who robbed a bank on the 4000 block of W. Neptune St. this morning and fled the scene on an e-bike. The Tampa Police Department, in conjunction with the FBI, is leading the investigation into the incident, which occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m.

According to a preliminary investigation, the suspect entered the bank heavily disguised, wearing multiple layers of clothing, a dark-colored hoodie, jeans, gloves, a white bandana covering his face, and sunglasses.

Witnesses reported that the suspect approached a teller and implied he was armed, though no weapon was visually confirmed. He demanded an undisclosed amount of money and successfully obtained cash before leaving the bank.

The suspect was last seen escaping the area on an e-bike, with a possible direction of travel being northbound from the location of the robbery.

Law enforcement has released a description of the suspect and the circumstances of the robbery in the hope that the public can provide assistance. Anyone with information regarding the incident or who may have seen the suspect is urged to contact the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.
