For Jordan Faucett, a Port Orchard teenager living with Level 3 Severe Autism, a long-held dream recently came true thanks to the Sunshine Foundation. Jordan was granted a “Magical Dream” trip to the Central Florida Theme Parks, an experience that has left a lasting impression on him and his family.

Jordan’s mom expressed immense gratitude for the trip, highlighting its profound impact.

“Thank you so much for making Jordan’s dream come true,” she shared. “Jordan is a huge Lego fan, so getting to visit LEGOLAND Florida and stay in the LEGOLAND cottage at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village was truly incredible. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this possible, especially our sponsor and the amazing Sunshine Foundation staff. This unforgettable experience will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and Jordan will always cherish the memories of this amazing opportunity.”

The Sunshine Foundation is dedicated to answering dreams for children facing lifelong severe chronic illnesses and conditions, including but not limited to spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, and trauma from abuse.

Unlike some other wish-granting organizations, the Sunshine Foundation extends its reach to children who may not have a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, relying on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to make these dreams a reality.

Jordan’s “Dream Come True” was made possible by Florida Public Utilities Company, which sponsored the Sunshine Foundation’s annual gala. The most common request granted by the Sunshine Foundation is a “Magical Dream” to visit popular Central Florida attractions like Legoland, Universal Studios, Disney World, and SeaWorld, with many families choosing to stay at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village near Disney. Beyond theme park visits, the foundation also fulfills “Special Dreams” such as shopping sprees, computers, outdoor playsets, adaptive tricycles, and other specialized equipment.

Since its inception in 1976, the Sunshine Foundation has brought joy and sunshine into the lives of over 43,280 children across the United States. The organization proudly holds a perfect 100% score on Charity Navigator and an “A” rating on CharityWatch, cementing its reputation as a top-rated wish-granting organization in America.
