The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that Roques Costa, 58, has claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. Costa chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
Costa of Delray Beach purchased his lucky ticket at the Publix located at 1538 S. Federal Highway in Delray Beach.
The retailer will also benefit from the win, receiving a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $50, $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR game boasts two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and an impressive 234 prizes of $1 million. The game is also packed with over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, offering players overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-Off games continue to be a significant contributor to the Florida Lottery’s success, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in the fiscal year 2023-2024.
