ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Rays are offering fans a unique opportunity to snag team memorabilia and support a good cause with a “Pre-Construction Charity Yard Sale” on Saturday, May 31st. The event, benefiting the Rays Baseball Foundation, will take place in Lot 7 of Tropicana Field from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
As Tropicana Field prepares for scheduled repairs starting in June, items previously stored within the stadium will be made available for purchase. Team officials anticipate this yard sale will boast an even larger inventory than the popular annual sale held during Rays Fan Fest, with over 75,000 items up for grabs.

Fans attending the event can purchase a bag for $20 and fill it with a variety of treasures, including bobbleheads, Rays hats, shirts, other wearables, previous promotional giveaways, and Rays drinkware.
“This charity yard sale will benefit the organizations that align with the Rays Baseball Foundation’s pillars, and ultimately, people in our community who need support,” said Jenn Tran, Rays Chief People & Culture Officer. “Since 2008, RBF has provided more than $21 million to local nonprofits that work in education, social responsibility, youth development and wellness.”
To enhance the fan experience, the event will also feature face painters, a DJ, and balloon twisters. Additionally, attendees can receive a free hot dog with proof of purchase, while supplies last.
Rays Season Members will enjoy a special early access shopping window from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Parking for all attendees will be available in the adjacent Lot 6.

As an added bonus, fans who purchase a bag will receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a 2025 regular-season Rays home game at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. Certain blackout dates will apply, and there is a limit of one ticket voucher per bag and four ticket vouchers per household. Tickets and locations are subject to availability. These vouchers are non-transferable, not for resale, and must be redeemed online before the final regular-season home game at Steinbrenner Field.
