RIVERVIEW, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has arrested Brooke Anderson, a 27-year-old teacher at Riverview High School, following allegations of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a male student.
Detectives launched an investigation on Friday, May 16, 2025, after receiving information concerning the alleged misconduct.
According to the HCSO, the student disclosed that the relationship with Anderson began in September 2024 with sexually explicit text messages. The student further reported that the relationship escalated in the weeks leading up to Anderson’s arrest, with multiple instances of sexual activity.

The most recent alleged incident occurred on the morning of May 16 within Anderson’s classroom before the start of the school day.
“This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community,” stated Sheriff Chronister. “What should have been a safe, supportive environment for learning was exploited for abuse. Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing.”
Anderson is currently facing three felony charges of Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor.
