CLEARWATER, Fla. – A second person has died following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Countryside Boulevard.

Clearwater Police confirmed this morning that the 79-year-old male passenger who had been receiving treatment at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg succumbed to his injuries.

This tragic update follows the initial report that the driver of the Lincoln Town Car, a 77-year-old woman from Oldsmar, died shortly after being transported to Mease Countryside Hospital following the collision.
