CLEARWATER, Fla. – A section of northbound U.S. 19 in Clearwater is currently closed to traffic following a serious crash that occurred just after 4 p.m. today.
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews are on the scene of the incident, which has resulted in serious injuries.

The crash took place on the northbound lanes of U.S. 19, specifically impacting the area north of Drew Street. Authorities have closed this portion of the highway as emergency personnel work the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
Drivers are strongly advised to seek alternate routes to avoid significant delays in the area. There is currently no estimate for when the affected section of U.S. 19 will reopen.
