HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 67-year-old Spring Hill man has died following a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a car that occurred Friday afternoon on US-41.
The crash took place around 1:50 PM, north of Shady Rest Court.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, both vehicles – a Nissan Sentra driven by a 70-year-old Plant City woman and a Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide operated by the Spring Hill man – were traveling southbound on US-41.

The Harley-Davidson was reportedly passing the Nissan Sentra in an authorized passing zone when the driver of the Sentra attempted to make a left turn into a driveway entrance.
The turning vehicle entered the path of the passing motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The operator of the Harley-Davidson was transported to an area hospital but later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra was also transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
