ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 21-year-old St. Petersburg man, Cristian Sengaroun, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of Sexual Activity Involving Animals after detectives reportedly found videos on his cell phone depicting humans engaged in sexual acts with animals.

The investigation began after authorities received a cyber tip regarding Sengaroun’s alleged use of his digital bank account to purchase such illicit materials.

According to investigators, a search warrant was executed, leading to the discovery of the 10 videos on Sengaroun’s personal cell phone. Sengaroun, born on November 6, 2003, was subsequently taken into custody.

Officials also confirmed that Sengaroun had been recently hired as a seasonal part-time employee at the City of St. Petersburg Walter Fuller Recreation Center approximately two weeks prior to his arrest.

At the time of his hiring, he had undergone and passed a required Level 2 background screening, as mandated for childcare workers in Florida under Chapter 435 of the Florida Statutes.

The City of St. Petersburg immediately terminated Sengaroun’s employment upon learning of his arrest.

Authorities have stated that, at this time, there is no indication that any participants at the Walter Fuller Recreation Center were involved or affected by Sengaroun’s alleged activities. The investigation is ongoing.
