PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A man was detained this morning in the Oak Crest Drive area of Port Richey after barricading himself inside his residence. Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the U.S. Marshals Service in serving a warrant around 9:30 a.m. when the subject refused to cooperate.
According to deputies, the individual barricaded himself within the home, prompting a response to secure the scene. After an undisclosed period, the subject was successfully taken into custody.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office stated that this is an isolated incident and assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
