Tampa Alters Trash Collection For Juneteenth Observance

TAMPA, Fla. – The City of Tampa has announced a revised trash collection schedule and facility closures in observance of Juneteenth, which falls on Thursday, June 19, 2025. City offices, including solid waste services, will be impacted by the holiday.

Residential customers will experience a one-day delay in their collection services. There will be no residential collection on Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19, 2025. Regular collection for residential areas will resume on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Commercial customers will also see a change in their schedule. While there will be no collection on Juneteenth, regular commercial collection services are slated to take place as scheduled on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House, located at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19, 2025. It will reopen for regular operations on Friday, June 20, 2025.
