Tampa Police Arrest Man Following NCMEC Tip

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department today announced the arrest of 21-year-old Jesse Sharrer on two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, following a detailed investigation stemming from a cyber-tip provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The investigation by the Tampa Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit launched on December 25, 2024, after receiving information regarding child pornography.

Detectives immediately began an investigation, developing leads that ultimately led them to Sharrer’s residence, located at 4317 S. Hubert Ave.

Throughout their investigation, detectives gathered substantial evidence, culminating in the issuance of a search warrant for Sharrer’s home.

On Thursday morning, the search warrant was executed, and Jesse Sharrer was taken into custody without incident. He has since been transported to Orient Road Jail.
