TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling eastbound on W Kennedy Boulevard should anticipate delays beginning next week due to a lane closure for utility repairs.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, the eastbound right lane of W Kennedy Boulevard between N Brevard Avenue and S Plant Avenue will be closed to allow wastewater department crews to repair a broken manhole ring and cover.

Detour signage and barricades will be in place to guide motorists, directing them to merge into the eastbound left lane. Drivers are strongly advised to consider alternate routes to avoid potential congestion in the area.

The repair work and restoration of the affected area are scheduled to be completed no later than the close of business on Wednesday, May 21. Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume afterward, weather permitting.
