TAMPA, Fla. – Starting today motorists can expect lane closures on Sawyer Road between West Burke Street and Tuttle Street as the Tampa Water Department conducts essential maintenance on the water distribution system.
The northbound and southbound lanes in the affected area closed at 9 a.m. Barricades and flaggers are on site to guide traffic and assist with rerouting. Drivers are advised to consider alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling through the area.

The Tampa Water Department anticipates completing the work and returning to normal traffic patterns by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14. Please note that modifications to lane closures may be necessary as the work progresses.
