TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers heading eastbound on West Hillsborough Avenue can expect delays starting today as the Tampa Water Department undertakes urgent repairs to a water main break. The outer eastbound lane of West Hillsborough Avenue will be closed between Town N Country Boulevard and Hanley Road beginning at 10:00 AM this morning.
Barricades and signs have been deployed in the affected area to help guide motorists and manage traffic flow. The Tampa Water Department urges all drivers to exercise caution when traveling through the zone.

The repair work is anticipated to be completed by 5:00 PM on Friday, June 20, at which point normal traffic patterns are expected to resume.
However, officials caution that modifications to the schedule may be necessary depending on the progress of the work and weather conditions.
The Tampa Water Department has also indicated that they may need to return to the site at a later date for additional work, and an update will be provided should that be necessary.
